CCL Label Planning Tool

The CCL Label GmbH in Dornbirn produces so-called ‘Shrink Sleeves’ and labels that are used in packaging for food as well as for cosmetics, household, and cleaning products throughout Europe and beyond.

Our developed planning tool serves to integrate data from various systems such as the ERP system, pre-calculation application, or PDV system. It creates work orders and production orders from this data and transmits the relevant information to pre-press workflows, printing machines, the warehouse management system, and other systems.

The tool displays all open orders recorded in the ERP system and provides flexible search and sorting options that go beyond the functions of the ERP system. When an order is selected, data from various other systems is loaded immediately, and any potential issues that could hinder successful order planning are shown.

Create Work and Production Orders

With just a few clicks, the desired items are selected for the work order and combined into printing sheets. Different items can be combined on a single printing sheet to minimize setup times on the printing machine.

Subsequently, one or more production orders can be generated from the work order.

Tracking in the Digital Order Folder

In the past, data from various systems used to be passed around in a physical order folder among departments. With the CCL planning tool, this has been replaced by a digital order folder where all details of the order can be displayed, and the processing status across different departments can be tracked.
